Week 3 in BD Class

We had another fun week in BD Class. We have been working hard at becoming independent writers. Here is what we have been doing for our class writing.

On Wednesday we went for a walk through the blossom trees. It was lots of fun doing a wiggly walk around the trees.

On Friday, we drew minions. We watched a video about it then had a go ourselves. Pop into class to check them out.

For statistics, we used glyphs to show some data about ourselves. We then sorted out the glyphs in different ways to show this information.

Week 2 in BD Class

We have had a really busy week. We have got started in our writing books. We have been learning to start our ideas with a capital letter and finish them with a full stop.

On Tuesday we made popcorn. It was really yummy. Mr D left the lid of and we thought it looked like a popcorn volcano, or a waterfall or a popcorn shower. Here are all our great ideas.

We have been learning to write the letter "a", "c" and "o". Here is how we practise our letters. We can practise these at home.

For maths, we have been doing some more sorting. We are trying to find different ways of grouping objects. This time we used the people counters. You can see how we grouped them by looking at the tick sheet in the photo.

We also collected some information about how many people we have in our families. We put them in a circle to make a pie graph.

04/02/14 Today in BD Class

We have had another great day today in BD Class. Jazmyn was our star of the day today.

This morning we did some grouping maths where we had to sort out different objects. We had to give a reason for sorting these out. Check out what we did. Click on a picture to make it bigger.

For PE today we were learning that to run properly we need to use our arms. We tried running with our arms by our sides and it felt funny. Now we are practising running straight.

Mrs Kibblewhite has been teaching us some brain gym exercises. We have learnt "Spider on a Mirror", "Lazy Eights" and "Crossover Crunches." These help to get our brains working.

Day 1 with BD Class

We had a great first day together in BD Class. It was great to see old friends and make some new ones too. We welcome Devlin to Discovery School.

We read the story T-Shirts. We came up with some other words that start with "sh". We learnt the story about Harry Hatman and Sammy Snake.

Anthony was our Star of the Day today. he gets to take Goliath home tonight. Well done to Devon and Devlin who got certificates at Syndicate Assembly. Well done guys.
