06/09/11-07/09/11 What's Going On in BD Class

It has been a really busy couple of days in our class. Ella was Star of the Day on Tuesday and Keelan P. was Star of the Day on Wednesday.
For writing on Tuesday we played with ice. We held it, squashed it, squeezed it, put our cold hands on our faces and had lots of drippy fun with the ice. We brainstormed all of our ideas about what ice looks, feels and sounds like.
On Wednesday we had a go at doing some descriptive writing about ice. We are trying to us some interesting words in our writing.
We have been working hard in maths over the past couple of days too. The Triangles have been working on different ways of making ten. The Oblongs have been learning about making "teen" numbers and 20s and 30s. The Circles have been learning about putting bigger numbers in order.

On Tuesday afternoon we finished of our Rugby World Cup masks. We had to make a mask that would represent a different country.
On Wednesday afternoon, we had a great time with our school visitors. We did a photo shoot in the daffodils.
After the photo shoot, we did some filming for our rugby video. It is really cool.
