Miss Ymker showed us how to make magical rainbows this morning.
We had to put milk onto a plate and add lots of drops of food colouring. Some of us thought that we might be going to have an interesting coloured milkshake. When we added a few drops of dishwashing liquid we discovered that it wasn't a milkshake that we had made, but a beautiful swirling rainbow!
Our writing today was all about finding a treasure map. The clue to finding the treasure was the rainbow on the map. In our stories we decided to drive down to the beach and search for our treasure. Wow, what great stories you all wrote. You all found interesting treasure!
For maths we all showed Miss Ymker how clever we were at telling the time.
After morning tea we read a lovely story that showed us how baby chickens grow inside their eggs. Timothy told us that the chicks drink the yellow yoke in the egg as their food. We all wondered how the chicks would get out of their shell. We learned that they tap their way out with a special egg tooth. Wow, what clever chicks they are! Come and check out our lovely chicken art.
