26/05/14 Today in BD Class

Today is the start of Samoan Language week. We learned to count to ten in Samoan and we also learned the days of the week.

We also read the book Uncle Timi's Sleep. This story happens in Samoa. It's really funny.

Week 3 in BD Class

We have had an awesome week in Bd Class. It has been Science Week so we have done some cool things all to do with science.

On Wednesday we did some cool experiments with dry ice. We did some great descriptive writing about it too. Check out the video of our dry ice fun.

This week we have been learning our "r" blends. We are getting so good at finding them in our reading.

On Friday we had our Science dress-up parade. We looked amazing!

13/05/14 Today in BD Class

We had a great day today. We kicked off with making gloop this morning. We made such a mess but had a great time.

We came up with some great describing as well to help us with our writing.

12/05/14 Week 1 in BD Class

We had a great first week in BD Class. Mr D and Mrs Berney were really pleased with the way we all got settled into our work. We did some great reading and writing over the week.

This week we were learning about our consonant blends using the letter "l". We looked at all of these blends:

We found out there were lots of words that had these blends at the start of them. Check out all our ideas.

On Tuesday we did a really cool experiment called "The Flying Tea Bag." We were amazed at what we saw when we did the experiment.

For our writing, we were trying to use great describing ideas to make our writing interesting.

Last term, we made some cool monsters with our buddy class. We drew a different part of the monster each. You can see them here.
