29/03/10 What's Going On
We had another swimming day today. Mr D is really impressed with how much everyone has improved in the pool. Everyone did some great writing today. The class is really trying hard with their writing goals. Tomorrow will be a totally normal day. Yay! Robert and Eddie are back too. They have got new paint jobs.

On Friday we watch this crazy video. It is an amazing marble roll made by some guys in Dunedin. We think it is really cool.

26/03/10 What's Going On
What a busy day! We had a bit of time for news and power writing before a great swimming session. Everyone is getting really good. We had the quietest bus trip ever on the way home. Everyone was pretty tired. Holly and Leo were the MCs for our school assembly. They did a great job. Our buddies came by after assembly and showed us their awesome photo stories. Have a weekend everyone!

What a busy day. We managed to squeeze in some writing before morning tea. We were feeling a excited and a little bit nervous about going swimming. We all had a great time though. Some people tried some things they had never done before. That is really cool.

22/03/10 What's Going On?
Mr D was happy to be back at school with his great class. Everyone worked really hard today. It was great to see people writing more words in Power Writing. There were some excellent stories in writing time. A lot of people are remembering their writing goals. Tomorrow we are all off to swimming. I hope that everyone remembers their togs!

18/03/10 What's Going On?
It was a chilly day today but that didn't stop us having fun. We still got to go to Aotea Lagoon. We had a great time on the playground and doing a whole lot of sports. Everyone was awesome at Aotea Lagoon. All the teachers were very proud of us because we were so well behaved and we left the place clean and tidy. Tomorrow is the last day of EOTC Week. Then we go swimming next week. We are such busy people.

17/03/10 What's Going On?
It has been a really exciting St Patrick's Day. The weather came right and we got to do Wheels Day. Mr D set up a course around the school and we had heaps of fun going around and around and around. We learnt about safety equipment when we are on our "wheels" and made sure that we were looking where we were going. What a great day!

16/03/10 What's Going On?
Athletics Day was awesome! Mr D was so proud of how everyone tried their hardest. Everyone was so well behaved down at Adventure Park. When we got back to school everyone was pretty tired. We have got Wheels Day tomorrow so make sure that you have your bikes, scooters, blades, boards and safety gear. It will be another fun day.
15/03/10 What's Going On?
We had such a cool day today. This afternoon we did a whole lot of boat making. We also learnt about safety in a boat. Hannah's mum and Holly's mum helped us to build our boats. They are looking really cool. This week we are practising to write the letter "b" and the letter "h" properly.

Today when I got home I went on the computer. My mum called me and I ran to my mum. there was a hole in the roof from the storm.

We are sorry but our video camera is still broken so we can't say "Hi" to you. Hopefully it will be fixed on the weekend. We have got writing and maths this morning. We will do some finsihing off after morning tea as well as buddy time. We have school assembly after lunch and Mrs D might come by early and drop Emma off at school. That will be cool.

11/03/10 What's Going On?
At last we had a full day at school. It was a fun day today. We did some great writing in the morning and then we learned to use a Venn-diagram. We have got all our teeth stories up on the wall now. They look really cool. We kept working on finishing our fish. They will look awesome when they are done. Everyone got to take their goals home today so they can stick them up on the fridge.

10/03/10 What's Going On?
We had another busy day because of Goal Setting interviews. Mr D was very impressed with the people he saw on Tuesday. He is looking forward to seeing all the Wednesday people too. Miss Ymker was in our class this morning. We did some writing about the beach then looked at all our February weather charts. We sorted them and made some statements about them. We will share them soon. Mr D has been helping us with our printing my making some practise movies for us.

09/03/10 What's Going On?
It was a really busy day in BD Class today. We had lots to do because of goal setting interviews. We were learning to do fix up up some of Mr D's writing. We are trying to remember to put fullstops and capital letters in our stories. Fot maths today, we beat Mr D at "Squeeze." The Oblongs and Circles are learning about "teen" numbers. The Triangles are learning to put their numbers in order up to 20. Maths is really cool. For printing, Mr D made a little movie clip to show us how to write a "g" properly. This afternoon and evening we have got Goal Setting. Mr D talked to us about how we will do our Goal Setting. Everyone is excited.

Logan's Weekend
In the weekend I played tee ball. I hit the ball hard and got a home run. I ran really fast. it is fun . After that we went to a birthday. It was cool.
08/03/10 What's Going On?
What a great day in BD Class. Not only was the weather sunny, but we also did some great work. We met our new morning reporters, Steve and Stevie. We had a visitor in our class, Cherie, who was seeing how we do things because she is training to be a teacher. We are learning about the "ch" sound this week. There are lots of words with "ch" in them.

05/03/10 What's Going On?
We have had a very productive day in BD Class. After writing this morning we did Power Writing. Everyone was able to write more words than they did last week. That means that people are remembering how to spell more words. That's really cool. We also got some of our Safety First topic work finished. Mr D put it up and it looks great. Have a great weekend everyone.

We had another great day in BD Class. We had a few technical difficulties with getting Eddie and Robert onto the blog but everything is back to normal now. We did some great maths today. We are learning about reading number patterns on tens frames and the difference between "teen" and "ty" numbers. We will do more tomorrow.

03/03/10 What's Going On?
We got lots done today in BD Class. Miss Ymker was teaching us and she did some fun stuff with us. We did some more work on our fish and read a great poem about teeth. We learnt about some interesting teeth facts and did some writing about them. I wonder if anyone can remember a tooth fact and post it on the blog?

What a great day! We had a good laugh at Robert and Eddie because they were paying tricks on each other. We were learning about places we feel safe and why it's important to know our address and phone number. Maybe we can get our mums and dads to help us.

We had a cool day today. Robert and Eddie were funny because Eddie painted Robert yellow. We did some great writing today. We were learning about the two different "th" sounds today. All of our art is nearly up on the wall. It looks great.
